All
donations received from this Marathon will go to charity: water, a
charity devoted to providing clean water to people in developing
nations. Unsafe water and poor sanitation causes approximately 80% of
the diseases encountered by those in developing nations. Many of these
deaths are from children whose immune systems are not developed enough
to fight off various waterborne diseases such as diarrhea, dysentary
and cholera.
Just $20 can provide a person with clean drinking water for 20 years
while $5,000 can fund the construction of a well that can provide 250
people with clean drinking water. All of charity: water's
administrative costs are provided for by private donors so 100% of your donation funds the charity's
water projects!
