We've been broadcasting Marathons since 2009.
There are nearly 650 hours (that's 27 days!) of recorded content.

For every $5 donated, you're entered once in a raffle for an ExtraLives.org t-shirt!

(Shirts are extra lives large, screen-printed and 100% cotton.)
Our very first fundraiser was way back in June, 2009. Since then, and with an absolutely massive amount of support from you guys, ExtraLives.org has raised more than $78,000 for a bunch of charities and funded the construction of five schoolhouses abroad. We couldn't have done it without all of you!
To celebrate our third anniversary, let's go back and have a fundraiser with of one our favorite game series-- The Legend of Zelda. The two-screened racing format returns as we (attempt to) play through a bunch of Zelda games, stretching from Link's Awakening on the Game Boy to Link's latest outing in Skyward Sword on the Wii. (And although we've promised to do this in two other Marathons, I swear this time we'll actually get the Game Cube and Wii Twilight Princess mirror race up. Probably.)
We're raising money for Free the Children, a charity devoted to improving the lives of children in developing nations. They fight against childhood disease and hunger while providing families and villages with sources of clean water. They also aim to make education accessible to the many millions of primary-school-aged children who are unable to attend school. With $8,500 in donations, Free the Children is able to construct a schoolhouse in a developing nation which goes a long way to improving the quality of a child's life. Donations over $10 are tax deductable.
Thanks for stopping by and we hope you enjoy the Marathon! Let's build that schoolhouse!
